Finding a Choice Hotel for you Romantic Getaway

Whether traveling on a honeymoon, an anniversary or just a romantic rendezvous, your resort or hotel will be an important part of the entire experience. Your hotel stay should be comfortable, quiet and conducive to romance. A beachfront villa or room with a view of the water is perfect for your couples retreat.

Your hotel booking will offer you many options in romance. Online booking sites can help you find the most romantic hotel within your budget. Consider an adults-only facility. The pool will be clean and the hotel will be quiet. The atmosphere of an adult-only hotel is different from your average choice hotel. You will enjoy a mature and more relaxed vacation.

Online booking also allows you to find certain amenities to enjoy with that special someone. A couples massage is a great way to unwind together. When doing your hotel booking, ensure that your choice hotel has a spa that offers this service. Hot springs can be another way to spend some quality time together.

When making your hotel booking, be sure to compare all of the options available at nearby resorts in the area. Some may offer private beachfront dinners, breakfast in bed, snorkeling or sailing. Your choice hotel should be able to offer some activities specifically for couples. If you tell them that it is a special occasion, you can often get a room upgrade or some perks. Either contact the hotel or your online booking agent to ensure that the hotel knows that its your honeymoon or anniversary well ahead of time. You might end up with a private hot tub, sparkling wine or a beach view without paying a penny more.

Your choice hotel should have a great reputation. Online booking allows you to review what other customers have said about the hotel. Read the most recent opinions from other travelers to get a good idea of whether the hotel is right for you. Before doing your hotel booking, pay close attention to the hotels reputation for service, cleanliness and food.

Food is often an important factor when doing a hotel booking. A choice hotel will have a variety of food options for seafood lovers, vegetarians and even ethnic foods. If the hotel that you choose does not have the type of food that you like or only offers a limited selection, your experience will not be as great as it could be with the right choice in hotels.

Your online booking site might have all of this information, but if not, it is prudent to do some investigating beforehand. Contact the hotel directly, contact an agent at from the hotel booking site or get a recommendation from a friend who has stayed in the area.

Doing a bit of research beforehand will ensure that your vacation is memorable for all of the right reasons. Online booking is an easy way to check that your choice hotel fits in with your vision of a romantic getaway.

How to Strike a Good Hotel Deal

Unlike what many people think, it does not have to be overly expensive to spend some time at a quality hotel. It does not matter how long you want to stay, you can always get a good hotel deal. There are always suitable deals for hotels but you might have to work a little hard to find yourself one. If you merely decide to call a hotel and accept the quoted rates from the comfort of your home, you will surely end up paying a lot of money for the hotel room you want. To get a good hotel deal you need to go beyond that, keep your options open, and hence get to save a few dollars.

First, you can get yourself a good deal by booking your hotel during the off-season. Few people are booking hotels at this time and consequently the prices are low. When the peak season comes, hotels charge very high rates but having booked earlier you will be free of these high rates. However, it is important to call the respective hotel first to know how much it usually charges. This is because you could be duped into paying the usual rates a hotel charges or even more in the name of a discount.

Many hotels have frequent guest programs. When guests visit they gain points and continue to accumulate them with more visits. This means that you can easily get cheaper room rates. If you belong to a special group that should enjoy special rates at hotels, always remember to make this known before you make the booking. Many hotels will give a good hotel deal to members of the military and students etc. and you will need to have the relevant documents to prove your status. Do not always take the first offer you are given but rather ask if you can get another room at a lower rate. You will be surprised to find that a room costs more because it has a facility you do not need while another room without the particular facility costs a lot less!

Remember that many hotels have extra charges that could spoil a seemingly good hotel deal; be wise and ask about them beforehand. If you have a car, ask if you will be charged parking fees. If you a tourist in a different country, it is possible that you will be charged tourist taxes and it is definitely something that you need prior knowledge of. Then there are the tips and everything else; you need to see how all these will fit into your budget to avoid frustrations.

Cienfuegos Unveils Latest E-hotel To Open Offering Cultural Cuba Holidays In Bay Of Jagua

Offering the perfect mix of seaside recreation and cultural charm, the historical city of Cienfuegos has recently welcomed a new addition to its collection of colonial hotels in the Bay of Jagua.

The fully renovated Perla del Mar hotel joins the portfolio of E-Hotels (Hoteles Encanto) in Cubas colonial city of Cienfuegos. The E-hotels brand comprises a selection of restored properties of historical value that after renovation works have been converted into charming accommodation options for history-loving tourists in search of a more authentic place to stay, with a bit of added history to perfectly complement culturally-enriching Cuba holidays.

The hotel was inaugurated at the end of last month with the presence of the Gran Caribe Hotel Groups president, Eduardo Acosta and the newly opened establishment became the fourth Encanto hotel in the Punta Gorda complex, which comprises another four sister properties of equal historical value and old age charm. These sister hotels include the Jagua, Casa Verde and Palacio del Valle, the latter of which was the first E-hotel to open in Cuba and marked the starting point for extending the Encanto brand and restoring more old Cuba hotels to their former glory.

The motivation behind the opening of these peculiarly charming hotels in Cuba was not only to rescue and give use to crumbling buildings of historical importance that had been abandoned throughout the years but also to meet an increasing demand and growing interest from tourists to stay in unique accommodation that reflected Cubas captivating colonial past, much of which is still present in the architecture of old villages and sleepy towns like the residential neighbourhood of Punta Gorda, where the new Encanto Perla del Mar is located.

The investment in the restoration of the new property, part of which overlooks the sea and the beautiful Bay of Jagua, totalled 1.4 million U.S. dollars and a further restoration project is in the pipeline for another hotel in city which will be named San Carlos. Work for the new San Carlos hotel will start in 2013 with an expected date of completion in 2012 while existing projects are also to be enhanced in the area.

Perfectly catering to the growing interest for cultural holidays in Cuba, the new property adds value to the new accommodation in this city with fully renovated guest rooms and facilities.

The Advantages Of Boutique Hotels

One of the reasons boutique hotels are so popular is because they directly oppose the accepted hotel normality of hundreds of rooms and bland service. Their refusal to treat guests as anything other than honoured visitors means that they spend time, money and energy developing a hotel where you feel comfortable and at home. This can only really be achieved with low room numbers.

Hotels in this sector have discovered that travellers are willing to pay for accommodation that is different in design and where even full occupancy means they’re not queuing for breakfast or waiting for room service to answer the phones. Instead, fewer rooms means more space and better service, and an increasing number of travellers are taking this option.

Space

Space is important to travellers, particularly those for whom the hotel is an integral part of the experience. Whilst other holiday makers or business travellers simply use a hotel as a base for sleeping and eating, boutique hotel guests want to feel that they can spend the morning drinking coffee and reading in the public areas without feeling like a nuisance, or relax by the pool without worrying about fighting for poolside space with other guests. By taking a definite decision to reduce the number of bedrooms so that each room has more space and by fashioning public areas that guests actually want to use, boutique hotels create a unique atmosphere that appeals to guests.

Design

Boutique hotels are often based in older, traditional buildings where creating larger guest rooms means considerable changes to the internal design of the building. Sympathetic architectural changes can be achieved with careful planning and this allows hotel owners and their designers to maintain and incorporate original features into a more modern, spacious room design. From keeping original windows to fitting the most modern of bathrooms, clever design allows these hotels to provide fewer rooms, whilst at the same time preserving the essential features of the building.

Service

The smaller the number of guests, the better the service can be. This is a concept that’s fully understood by the boutique industry and it strives to ensure that standards of service are exceptional. Any contact that the guest has with a member of staff should be a positive one and, in many cases, members of staff are trained to anticipate guests’ needs, ensuring that they are comfortable asking for anything, including help with activities outside the hotel as well as the facilities within it.

Lowering the number of rooms in a hotel, combined with good design, quality fittings and excellent service all combines to make a hotel unique and that’s what today’s travellers want.
